I’ve got mixed feelings about Firs Park on one hand I could class it as my favourite explore, it was relaxed and the weather was great. On the other hand we’d been to the stadium as a team two years prior and had watched a football match there, so to see it now lying in ruin was very depressing.
The stadium is only small with only 200 seats and a capacity of 1,800. Having supported Clydebank, a team in the lower leagues of Scotland whose stadium was sold and their position in the professional leagues being bought out, it was particularly emotional to see another team in an apparent decline.
Several items were left behind with e-mails from the SFA and old items that as a football fan were the equivalent of gold.
